BikeRadar Diaries is back with another episode packed with semi-nudity, gurning and sweating
How fast can Jack and Joe really get? That's what we'll try to find out in this week’s episode of BikeRadar Diaries.
- What is VO2 Max? Explaining Chris Froome's physiological testing data
- Use these exercises to ride stronger and stay injury-free in 2019
In the last episode of BikeRadar Diaries, we asked you to vote on which winter bike out of Jack and Joe's was your favourite, with the loser facing a forfeit. Unfortunately for young Jack, he lost the vote and Joe already had a decidedly painful challenge in mind.
Watch as the pair head to the University of Bath, where they undergo a series of deeply unpleasant tests to hopefully help them on their quest to get faster.
Following the testing, all-around nice guy, friend of the show and world-class mountain biker, Tom Bell has set Jack and Joe a training plan to follow for the next six weeks. They will then head back to the university for retesting to see if their hard work has paid off.
Many thanks to The University of Bath Sports Science Centre for hosting our daft duo. The facilities are not just for professional athletes — not that these two can be described as that — and are open to the public. More information on the facilities is available on the University of Bath website.
BikeRadar readers can also get a discount on a VO2 max for a limited time — call 01225 383 636 to book and use the code PSSC10 to get 10% off a VO2 max test.
(This discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount. The code can only be used once per person and expires at the end of July 2019.)
