Minoura's V150 has rough welds and plastic locking levers, which make it look cheap. Don't judge this trainer on its basic looks, though – it’s a really smooth, quiet and versatile machine.
It’s stable and secure in use, with only a bit of flex when you’re really cranking. The simple single-bolt setup doesn’t take long to use either. This turbo is quiet and smooth, with decent spin sustain from the 1.5kg flywheel. Overall, the ride feel is excellent.
The seven-step remote lever on the bars gives the potential for loads of resistance and we never had to use more than one setting, even with a compact chainset. The price also includes a video download from thesufferfest.com, to get you started on the way to spring fitness.
