Cadence sensor is great for the price but the button can be frustrating

This semi-wireless cadence-counting setup comes at a great price if you get on with the dotty screen and solid button design. The wired cadence sensor adds prep time (and weight) but the wireless speed sensor keeps the front end clean and the big magnet will cope with round or flat spokes.

The head unit can be bar or stem mounted, and there’s a relatively large screen for a clear display. It’s a full feature list for the money too, adding temperature to all the usual speed and distance permutations and cadence information. The dot matrix display looks retro but works okay, and there’s a pace arrow.

The computer has with a backlight but the button is mounted on the back, and several testers found the non-moving touch sensitive button to be a touch insensitive, so preparation and on-bike operation were frustrating unless it’s set to auto scan.
