The wide toe box and mouldable carbon sole will be a real boon to many riders Buy if, You want a distinctive-looking shoe

Pros:

Mouldable, stiff carbon sole

Cons:

Comes up slightly small for its size

The Bonts live up to their name with their riotous colour scheme, though black is also an option for the non-shouty rider.

These shoes are also very distinctive when it comes to how they’re made

These shoes are also very distinctive when it comes to how they’re made, as they feature a heat-mouldable ‘tub’-like carbon composite sole, which you mould to the shape of your foot.

The sole is very stiff — even compared with other carbon soles – and so thin they come with their own short screws to attach the cleat.

There’s one Velcro strap, and a single Boa for a secure fit. They’re pretty light, too.

The toe box is wide, though I found the Riots a tad shorter than other size 42s. The replaceable heel bumper is a nice touch.
