Made from nylon, polyurethane and fleece-lined Neoprene, Pearl Izumi’s Barriers are among the warmest overshoes available. They kept our feet comfortably warm during some long rides in conditions well below freezing, although, as with other Neoprene overshoes, at these temperatures your toes will still eventually get cold after an hour or so .
We like the wide rear Velcro closure, finding it as secure as a zip in practice but making them easier than most to take on and off. The rubber sole with a small elasticated section in the middle appears durable, the quality of the stitching is excellent throughout and they have large reflective logos.
