Lake MX225 Shoes review

Lake MX225 Shoes review

The MX225 shoes are designed for serious riding - you can probably tell this from one glance at the soles. The short heel has an ultra aggressive tread - as does the rest of the sole.

Great three-season riding shoes that you can actually scramble around in

The MX225 shoes are designed for serious riding - you can probably tell this from one glance at the soles.

The short heel has an ultra aggressive tread - as does the rest of the sole - which, when you're off the bike, really digs in well, and the soft compound rubber sole negates any need to hold onto tree branches, even on the steepest off-the bike climbs.

The toe and heel boxes are supple enough not to dig in, but still offer plenty of support and protection and the fit of the shoes is about average, erring on the side of being a bit narrow, but they become more comfortable with each wear.

Three Velcro straps secure the shoes in place, and venting is good, making for great summer shoes that can be worn with a pair of waterproof socks during the winter. All in all, these are very versatile, good quality MTB shoes.
