There are loads of skullcaps out there to stave off ice cream head on wintry rides.
Scott's roubaix version is windproof throughout except for the fleecy ear sections, while Prendas Ciclismo (www.prendas.co.uk, £12.50) does one that just blocks cold air from the front of your head. Altura have a version with a windproof forehead band and reflective trim (£16.99, www.zyro.co.uk) while the Sputnik from Woolistic (www.woolistic.com, £22) is mostly double thickness with a Merino wool inner. There are plenty of others available too: take your pick.
