The Charge Leg Guards give a little knee protection without the restrictive, bulky feel of a knee pad. The thin sleeved construction offers an airy feel thanks to the meshed backing that makes a massive difference on warmer days.
There are silicone gripper strips around the top and bottom openings, which have proved to keep the Charge guards in place on both sweaty and wet rides.
Although the Charge Guards don’t offer the same sort of protection as a standard knee pad, the stretchy Kevlar front panel does a solid job of staving off abrasions should you take a tumble, and stays in place surprisingly well thanks to the snug fit.
If you’re looking for a little bit of protection without restricting knee movement, these are well worth a shout. There’s no uncomfy bunching and they’re perfect for trail rides.
