Our review
Rock-solid field or workshop stand that’s easier to use than most

Bontrager’s new stand certainly makes a good first impression thanks to its tough carrying bag and super-stable yet easy-to-deploy tripod stance.

Quick-release clamps on the telescopic design make it very easy to change height for different jobs or mechanics too.

The soft-mouthed clamp opens super-wide for taking any tube and it can rotate to any angle too. In the normal position a handy saddle rest supports the bike while you wind the clamp shut.

It’s a good price too considering the overall build quality and included bag. There’s even an emergency wheel truing gauge.

The obvious opposition here is the Feedback Sports (or Ultimate as they were known) stand which has a more immediate push-button clamp mechanism. Even without factoring the bag into the cost that’s a more expensive stand, though, and what the Bontrager does it does well.
