Forty quid is a lot to pay for Allen keys, but you do get lots: 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 5.5, 6, 8, 10 and 12mm, all with hardened ball ends and T-bar handles with grippy rubber inserts.
So are they worth four quid each? Well, certainly they are if you spend a lot of time tinkering or you’re paid to take bikes apart, because they really are excellent.
The ball ends are nice and snug in the bolt, allowing lateral movement but still giving you the confidence to really tighten, and the short non-ball end is excellent for applying a final push, especially to crank bolts.
