The Cyclaire is a very different beast to most other pumps, using a rip-cord to drive a compressor to fill your tyres. It took 174 strokes to hit 100psi which doesn't sound like a lot, but I found it more effort than a frame or track pump.
It's a lot more complicated than a plunger pushing air down a barrel, so not really one to consider if you're off to the wild places. It's difficult to know which type of pump this is really designed to replace. Sure, it's innovative, and it certainly works, but the best standard pumps outperform it, and every one of them is lighter.
The Cyclaire has previously been highly rated but if it was my money, well, it wouldn't be my first choice.
