This is one of the least expensive track pumps out there but, though not packed with features, it does a fine job.
At 20 quid you might expect something insubstantial but with its steel barrel and chunky resin base the Passport is actually meaty enough to inspire plenty of confidence. The elastomer handle is grippy and comfortable, the hose is a generous 90cm long, and the top-mounted gauge, which comes with a target pressure marker, is easy to read.
The thumb-lock connector fits both Schrader and Presta valves without the need for any adjustment and we managed to get a 700x23c tyre from flat to 100psi in 18 strokes, which is highly respectable. Though billed as capable of 160psi, our model started to struggle at pressures over 125psi and we were swinging off the handle to get 130, which is something to bear in mind if you use tubulars or you like to run your clinchers really hard.
