Taking threaded 12g or 16g CO² cartridges, this is a simple to use hybrid unit. However, it is let down by the seal inside the valve head, which is easily damaged.
After only seven uses, the seal on our test pump was so far gone that most of the CO² was vented to the atmosphere instead of inside the inner tube. This can be improved with a spot of lubrication on the seal, but even then it still leaked slightly.
