The Specialized Aspire is a cleverly designed women’s helmet that addresses one of female cyclists’ biggest irritations – where to put your hair.
The shell is cut away at the rear to give ample space for a ponytail, braids or a small bun, and the micro-adjust cradle won’t get in the way either, thanks to the new HairPort SL fit system, which gives a choice of four height positions.
Once set up properly, getting the helmet on is a cinch. The securing straps have loads of adjustment, and generous ventilation from front to back gives excellent airflow.
The only slight niggle is that, depending on the height of your ponytail, you might find that the nose of the helmet slightly obscures the top of your vision in an aero tuck.
The Specialized Aspire features lots of vents
