Our review
Great value full-face downhill lid

The Rampage is a new bicycle-specific full-face lid designed to cope with the demands of racing. With a weight of 1.16kg, it's marginally heavier than the benchmark 990g Troy Lee Daytona D2, but then the D2 is £200 more.

With seven vents there's plenty of air flow, helped by some nifty internal channels. The padding is removable and machine washable, so there's no excuse for a stinky lid. The peak is flexible enough to take a biff without cracking, and with a three-point adjustment it can be angled to taste. T

he helmet uses the traditional double D-ring chin strap system and is very secure. Fit and comfort is right on the money. Our only complaints are that our test model's matt black finish has marked easily, making it look older than it actually is, and the peak keeps rattling loose – but it's still a great buy.
