The Reynolds AMs are new wheels but we’ve battered them round the rocks of Yorkshire and the super-harsh trails of Finale Ligure in Italy without any rim damage, warping or loss of spoke tension so far.
The rims are wide enough to support any tyre well without feeling overly slow rolling, and tracking stiffness from the 28 straight-pull spokes is fine. They’re light for a broad rim setup, with quick engagement helping to create a rapid and responsive feel when fitted.
Tubeless tape and valves are included, and inflation is easy, but the slightly loose fit means we’d be wary of burping at low pressures if you’re a real corner ripper. Pricing is OK considering a full range of axle adapters is provided, and the massive bearings have stayed smooth so far.
