These 30mm Subrosa rims from Spank fatten up larger tyres nicely and they've proved impressively stiff and strong in tests. With a weight well under 600g, they still feel agile and responsive enough for hardcore XC use. The only downside we've found so far is that the canted-in rim lip - which locks flatted tyres in place - and centreline 'Oobah' hump make them an absolute sod to get tight tyres on and off of.
With the new chocolate flavour (matching grips available) joining jello green, white and black, you can be sure you complement or clash with most colour schemes. They're certainly not a cheap option though.
