One of two Prowlers from WTB, but the all-mountain XT is much more than just a smaller version of the MX [page 122].
>The tread looks like a very simple paddle arrangement until you realise that it's actually a lot of arrow treads in a line, which separate as the tyre rolls and moulds to the trail. This means as well as digging out serious braking/ driving grip, it's a lot more tenacious in corners and messy root/rock situations, and faster clearing than we expected it to be. Add a soft stick 50 duro 'DNA' compound and a very fat carcass for its nominal 2.3in size and this is a great gripper for aggressive riders.
>The downside is that it's very heavy for general trail use, and the sticky compound and bar tread slow it down too, so you'll de?nitely enjoy it going down more than going up.
