The unusual thing about Giant’s tyres is that they’re front and rear specific. They look the same: smooth, with little tread depth-indicating dimples, but the compounds are different. The front uses softer rubber for the centre and shoulders for grip, while the rear uses harder rubber for durability and speed. That makes sense because the rear bears more of your weight.
Rolling performance is good, thanks in part to very supple sidewalls; only a handful of tyres we tested were quicker. There’s decent puncture protection through the tread, but debris could slash the sidewalls.
