Nukeproof’s Warhead kit is obviously modelled on proven components, but it’s now gaining its own reputation for top value performance too.
The single-piece shaft and lower clamp are cold forged then machined with thicker front and rear walls to maximise strength. The chunky head adds a small amount (10mm) of layback with infinite angle adjustment and plenty of saddle clearance.
The 5mm Allen fore and aft bolts are angled for easy access with a trail tool. It’s not particularly light, but we’ve been hammering one of these posts on our Orange Patriot for three years without a single creak or grumble. There’s enough rail support to keep your saddle drooping if you drop the bike too.
