Two words: seriously constructed. But let’s start at the top. We were dubious about the mix of cover materials at first, but the central textured section gives just the right amount of grippy control while the shiny sides make for no-chafe pedalling and maximum moves.
In addition to titanium rails, the strategic use of Vibram material (the same stuff that’s in hiking boot soles), really does help to deaden vibration – and in the case of the insert under the nose, makes hike-a-bike sections more comfortable too.
The overall result is a supportive ride that will work for freeride and cross-country trail types alike. It buffs up marvellously and scuff patches help keep it looking good.
