Hard to fault on its price/weight ratio, but we’d favour a blunter nose

If you’re searching for lightweight mountain bike saddle on a budget, look no further! At 210g, the Cheeky weighs the same as saddles costing two-and-a-half times as much. The shape is quite racy, but while the padding is firm, it’s not over-hard.

There’s acut-out in the shell and a channel in the top to relieve pressure on your sensitive bits. A stitch-free cover means no chance of chafing, and a long, dropped nose provides an effective, if narrow, climbing perch – watch out for shorts snagging on the pointy tip though. Our test saddle had titanium alloy rails, but there’s a cheaper chromoly version too.
