If you like a flat, stiff saddle then this seat from the house of Ernesto will suit you just fine. It's a firm and narrow perch with just enough shock-absorbing give from the carbon-reinforced hull to take out some road sting.
It's far from an armchair though; you know you're on a racing saddle with this seat. Nevertheless, even testers who prefer saddles with a more pronounced dip found it acceptable and flat-seat fans loved it.
Weight is an acceptable 220g. There lighter saddles out there, but they tend to be so unforgiving that if they don't fit you like they were custom-moulded you never get comfortable on them.
There are some nice construction details here. The leather top is held in place with a plastic rim that's fixed with tiny Allen screws rather than the more common glue or staples. Graphics are moulded and printed rather than embroidered so they won't abrade your shorts. Prologo says the solid titanium rails are heat-treated to increase fatigue resistance.
This is one of a line of team replica saddles from Prologo, the high-end arm of huge Taiwanese saddle maker Velo. CSC, Milram, AG2R and Rabobank are aboard Prologo saddles this season so you're in good company and if you have a Colnago bike, then it's surely a must-have item.
