The Inform RXL from Bontrager is a true go-faster saddle with minimal padding and hollow titanium rails. With race saddles, paying more gets you less – weight, that is. And this is the lightest saddle we tested.
The barely-there padding is slightly softer through the nose section, which also has a grippier panel to help keep you in place as you hurtle towards the red mist zone.
Riding it, you feel very much perched, which works well when the power is on, but we found that even though it has a deep V at the back and titanium rails – both of which should help absorb shocks – this was still a hard ride.
It is available in different widths so you do get the opportunity to customise your pure racing pain.
