Shimano’s 105 racing pedals are built to last Buy if, You want great pedals at a great price

Pros:

Durable, efficient performers at a good price

Cons:

Slightly weighty

The Shimano PD-5800 105s are affordable quality racing pedals that take many design and technology cues from their more expensive Ultegra and Dura-Ace siblings.

The wide carbon fibre bodies make for comfortable and efficient pedalling, and I found them to be easy to clip in and out of.

The low profile body has a metal plate over the centre, helping to reduce premature wear and increase clearance between you and the road. Along with adjustable spring tension, quality sealed bearings, which cut down on maintenance, and hardwearing cleats these are racer-friendly and efficient road pedals.

Weighing 278g for the pair, they might be heavier than some but this trade-off is worth it because they are such good quality, reliable and durable pedals that don’t break the bank.
