The Candy Xs are just one of five in the Candy series of pedals and are the cheapest of the lot. Rotating on a forged chromoly steel spindle, the Xs use the signature Crank Bros four-sided entry mechanism surrounded by a fibre composite body.
Weighing in at 310g, the Xs will certainly help to trim weight off your rig, and the included two-year warranty goes some way to giving you peace of mind.
The entry/exit of Crank Bros always gets a mixed view, but we love them. The 15 or 20 degree exit gives the foot room to manoeuvre (or float) when planted on the pedal, yet the fixture still feels secure enough when hammering the trail or really cranking uphill.
The outer surround of the pedal gives something for the foot to aim for when clipping back in and makes entry to the pedal easier than ever. This is a great XC/trail pedal.
