You can’t fault them for looks, but the Veggies are a bit style over substance and not cheap

These shoe-grabbers are basically milled out versions of their Brooklyn Machine Works' Shinburger flesh-devouring Shinburger pedals, with a 7075 T6 alloy body and 4130 steel axles. Strength is not an issue and the weight is down to a decent 640g a pair.

Rather than the fashionable removable pins, grip is achieved through 21 long, aggressive spikes on either side of the large platform area. A downside is that if you snap one of the spikes off, you can’t just bolt a new one in.

They’re also a bit too close together, so we didn’t get the grip we expected in regular shoes. With sticky rubber soles, grip is increased but you still get the feeling you’re standing ‘on’ as opposed to ‘in’ the pedal.
