We like the neat CNC finish, the small five-degree rise and the fact that there’s a choice of faceplate colours, making it easy to coordinate it with the rest of your steed. The large cutaways at the faceplate make it easy to see the bar alignment marks, which is handy.
The shallow steerer clamping area means that the Zephir isn’t the stiffest stem on test, no matter what it is you’re riding. There’s noticeable give when you pull on the bars, which isn’t ideal.
