The 3D stem is pretty light at 147g for a 100mm version, with the forged body and open frontplate providing enough stiffness strength for cross-country/trail use.
The four-bolt front and twin-bolt opposed rear are plenty secure and there are no sharp edges. It comes in loads of lengths and rises, plus there’s a heavier duty ‘456’ version. It's slightly flexy though, and only comes in the smaller 25.4mm standard diameter.
