At only 147g for its 50mm length, the Staff stem is light but still strong. The forged 6061 T6 aluminium body offers a large steerer clamping area, and when coupled with 5mm bolts, it’s easy to get it nice and tight.
It’s also stiff enough for any kind of riding, while the five-degree rise isn’t extreme and the price is great. Our only niggle is the finish – the logo’s a bit large, and some torque settings would be useful.
