Fast, accurate steering with no noticeable flex

The DMR Sect stem was designed by Olly Wilkins with dirt jumpers in mind, although we think it would work just as well for hard-hitting trail riders.

The stem has a 40mm reach and a tiny stack height of 28mm, and weighs in at 210g, which isn't as light as its slight stature would suggest, but it does suggest that it should offer serious strength.

The upper bar clamp bolts are tightened from behind, giving the front of the stem a really clean look. It's still a doddle to get on the bike though. It's done with 6mm Allen key bolts so fitting it is simple.

We found the 40mm length gave fast, accurate steering, and even with a wide bar fitted there was no noticeable flex. The graphics are understated but nicely detailed, and there's a matching top cap included too.
