The purposefully oversized Estro stem is forged to near-final shape from 7075 aluminium then clamping surfaces are machined, to create a solid connection between bar and fork.
Stainless steel bolts securing the steerer tube are offset to better distribute clamping forces and prevent detensioning due to vibration.
While accurately finished threads and clamp surfaces add a feel of quality, white paint that isn’t quite as glossy as it should be might mean the anodised black Estro stem is a better option.
Despite a competitive showing at the scales, weighing in at 140g, the Estro never waivers during sprints or round hairpin bends and adequately justifies its price.
