This is a forged 6061 aluminium alloy stem with excellent finishing quality, available in short lengths and aimed squarely at female riders.
It’s not too light considering its shortness, and clearly in our deflection test the length was going to have a massive effect on the results, but there’s no denying this is a top quality bit of kit for not much money.
Short stems are specced on small bikes because the top tube has to be long enough to prevent or at least lessen the problem of your toes hitting a 700C front wheel. This easy to fit stem with stainless bolts is one of the best little ones around.
