This bar and stem set is aimed at the downhill and freeride markets, and is designed for abuse – with a two-year, no questions warranty.
The El Norte bar is tapered and butted, keeping things light (275g) without losing out on strength. The 38mm rise and 690mm width combine to create a bar that is great for freeride, but more width would be nice for full-on downhill.
Out on the trail, you feel immediately at ease with the 7075 T6 aluminium construction – it has enough width to keep the steering precise and controlled but not too much so that you’re clipping your fingers on every tree you pass.
The bar also comes with handy cut-down marks just in case you want to get things a little more compact. At 50mm, the stem is the perfect length to keep steering light and reactive. It weighs in at 230g and is constructed from 6061 T6 aluminium.
