Thomson made the bold move into bars a couple of years ago and this glossy carbon Trail C model is an unsurprisingly perfect match for its glossy CNC machined stems.
- Weight: 211g
- Width: 750mm
- Rise: 12mm
- Backsweep: 6 degrees
- Upsweep: 4 degrees
Instead of a generic nine/five shape, Thomson has gone for an aggressive forward hand position from just a six-degree sweep for these bars. The rise is low too, and this is matched with a firm ride feel that puts the trail surface right into your palms.
There’s a flat 730mm version too, if you want an even more attacking feel up front too.
The Trail C bars are 750mm wide, with cutting marks provided if you want them a bit shorter
The 750mm width here gives plenty of technical section taming leverage and tough, nano resin unidirectional carbon gets a skin of cross-woven 1.5K carbon at the tips for safe chopping – or crashing.
Considering the premium Thompson could have charged, it’s reasonably priced too.
