The Rizer is an upswept, elbow-raising motocross-style bar from one of the longest established mountain bike accessory brands, Ritchey.
It works better on the bike than in your spellchecker, but some riders took a while to adjust to it and others never took to it at all, so check the shape before you buy.
With a taper early in the bend and triple-butted build, it’s a relatively pliable and comfortable bar, which makes it great for longer rides.
Its 26in width gives more control than most original equipment bars (those supplied with a bike) without adding excess weight or leading to tree tangling problems. A lack of trim marks makes it awkward to cut symmetrically if it is too wide, though.
