Shimano’s high performance PRO range of components features a tweaked version of Thomas Vanderham’s signature bar. It’s available in either a 20mm or 30mm rise and comes in at 800mm wide.
It features cut marks down to 720mm, with Vanderham’s own 770mm preference highlighted in red.
The five-degree upsweep and nine-degree backsweep make for a comfy position, and the higher rise is a great option for taller riders battling a low head tube or for those who simply prefer to ride the back wheel a bit more.
A reinforced centre section bolsters strength but doesn’t make it feel uncomfortably stiff.
