After a hiatus from the sport, Azonic is making a welcome return with a range of components including this new carbon bar. The CFK is available in three widths (750, 760 and 790mm) and two diameters (31.8 and 35mm), and sports a 20mm rise, five degrees of upsweep and an eight-degree bend.
Personal preference is an important factor when it comes to bars, but we found the dimensions easy to adapt to. The 750mm width we tested weighed 190g – marginally heavier than some of the other carbon handlebars on the market – but the thick sidewalls and five-year warranty boosted confidence when tackling rough terrain and launching gaps. The bar’s exceptionally stiff feel may prove too much for some riders though.
