Holzefeller has been around for a while, but this totally new ‘Open Core’ version puts them right back into the fight.
Following the lead of Shimano and FSA, Truvativ have developed their own hollow arm manufacturing technique. While it’s too early to comment on strength, the increased stiffness is obvious immediately.
Truavtiv have stuck with the separate Howitzer bottom bracket, which adds a lot of weight, and you need to ensure the bolts are well greased and super tight to stop them coming loose.
Separate arms do mean easier/cheaper replacement however, and it comes in 22/32 or 24/36 doubles or single-ring downhill versions. The black, white or galvanized finishes with different rock ring options look good too.
