Our review
Smooth, solid and a good weight, but slightly let down by low gears

While this crankset isn't light by cross-country standards, under 1kg for a double-and-bash setup is good going. Smooth, hollow-forged crank arms help with the weight.

The simple, clean shape looks good, the low-profile arms don’t hit your ankles and the whole thing feels solid. Steel pedal eyes beef up the arms.

The inner rings are steel and the outers alloy, but the standard 22/32T combo may leave you running out of gears at the top end.

The clear polycarbonate bashguard is robust and looks smart, at least until dirt starts to accumulate around the back.

Additional lip seals provide an extra layer of defence for the bottom bracket. If you ever need to use a single ring, the inner ring spider is detachable for a clean appearance.
