Heavy, but rock solid with a decent BB and excellent pricing

Welded steel three-piece BMX cranks are uber-strong but tougher to fit than external bottom bracket (BB) types. This cunning hybrid combines the best of both worlds.

The tubular 4130 chromoly arms are crashproof, and a lockring-secured alloy spider lets you run four-bolt, five-bolt or BMX-style single chainrings.

The driveside crank is fixed directly onto the thickwall axle, with an extra deep socket connection onto the splined offside crank. A long steel bolt drives deep into the axle for total lockdown.

The payoff is weight – and you’ll need to add £30 worth of chainring – but they’re super stiff, well priced and come with a decent FSA BB.
