The Woodstock FS cranks are Gusset’s top-end three-piece offerings, aimed at the hardcore rider who’s weight conscious too.
The arms are made from light yet strong Reynolds 853 steel and, even with the included steel axle, the whole setup tips the scales at just 660g (excluding bottom bracket).
Instead of the chain ring bolting on to the crank arm, the Woodstocks use a splined setup, in which a dedicated chain ring presses on to the end of the axle. This opens up spacing possibilities that aren’t normally possible, as well as reducing weight.
As with all three-piece cranks, they’re not the easiest to fit, though the spline system makes it easier to get the spacing bang on and optimise your chain line.
With no flex whatsoever, these are stiff, solid, dependable cranks that we haven’t touched since they were fitted.
