Finding strong chains for bikes with gears can be a problem for some people, such as heavy riders or those who do highload riding, like gate starts in 4X races. Many of you will have seen someone snap a chain under pressure at some point - never pretty!
This YBN Heavy Duty chain is a good solution though. I've been running it on my Blur 4X bike with no problems to date and, because it's burly, it's perfect for trials riders, who put a lot of pressure on their chains.
Under shifting the chain is surprisingly smooth; I ran it through a SRAM X.0 mech and on a Shimano Ultegra cassette, which led to nothing but perfect shifting every time. Once you've found a chain that works you tend to stick with it. I think I'll be doing just that with the YBN...
