Veloce Ultra Narrow Chain review

Veloce Ultra Narrow Chain review

Any chain will provide good service if regularly cleaned, but in our experience the ultra-narrow 10-speed chain is more susceptible to wear than a nine-speed chain, resulting in poorer indexing of the gears. This chain is specified for use with the Xenon, Mirage and Veloce groupsets and the chrome-plated finish is quite resistant to corrosion during the winter months.

A good chain but rudely expensive rejoining tool limits its appeal

The joining pin has a very high interference fit into the link, so Campagnolo recommend the use of their special tool, code-marked UT-CN200. This costs around £50, and while there are dealers who could join the chain for you, there are other chains that are compatible with this system (like the Connex 10x1) that have tool-free connection using a special link.
