The Straitline guide features sliders both top and bottom with no moving parts, so it should be reliable over time. The bashring is alloy and looks great, and the backplate fits easily without the need for odd spacing. It felt remarkably drag-free (until the sliders started to wear), and lived up to the Silent name too.
The Straitline is the only guide we've used recently that has dropped a chain over the testing period, and we managed to bend the bashring slightly too. That said, we previously ran one for a year with no problems. Although the guide started drag-free, we could feel a bit of drag as the sliders started to wear.
