King of the lightweight chain guides castle

This is essentially a stripped-down version of e*thirteen's popular LG1 chain guide. Weight has been lowered by getting rid of the taco bashguard, which makes the guide very light – just 118g. It's ideal for trail riders looking for a reliable single-chainring setup.

It mounts via ISCG 05/ISCG tabs or the bottom bracket and has an adjustable lower arm to suit different frame designs without affecting the position of the upper guide. We recommend using some threadlock so the extra bolts don't rattle loose.

The guide is easy to fit thanks to the markings for chainring size, and once on it's very quiet. The lower roller is smooth and silent, and the upper guide envelopes the chain completely, which proved to be a foolproof design once set up. It's also a lovely-looking bit of kit, from the trick captive nuts to the finish, and it's available with black or white guides.
