Improved performance and reliability makes the 2012 Durolux a big hitting bargain

Suntour have made big changes to their bargain longer-travel fork for this year, increasing control, adjustability and – so far – reliability. New bushings, dust seals and damping cartridge means our 2012 Durolux has already outlasted our 2011 fork.

It’s been impressively smooth and fluid from the start too, with an easy action over small bumps and extra progression for controlling bigger hits. This top RC2 model adds independent low and high speed damping adjustment for fine-tuning.

The remote control TA travel-adjust drops the fork down to an active 120mm for climbing, although you have to stop and lift the fork to extend it. The 20mm Qloc axle can be a fight to get through some hubs, but assuming reliability holds, it’s a lot of fork for £400.
