The second prong of RockShox’s devastating attack on the trail fork market, the Reba Team adds a lightweight 20mm screw-through axle to the SID's superb Black Box internals.
That’s selling the Reba short though, as it has a new bottom end complete with the Power Bulge bushing area reinforcement RockShox first used on their Totem freeride forks.
Add a Lite version of the well proven Maxle 20mm screw-through axle and this fork sets new benchmarks for lightweight 120mm fork stiffness.
It’s particularly noticeably with cleaner cuts across off-camber situations and sharper turns into corners, even compared to 15mm screw-through forks, while the difference against 9mm quick-release forks is dramatic.
The race-developed Black Box Motion Control damping is outstanding too. Dual flow rebound and compression circuits manage suspension speeds differently at different stroke depths to give consistent control that shames most 120mm forks.
Dual air springs let you micro-manage ride height, initial sensitivity and through-stroke spring rate too, and the Reba matches its rivals from Fox Racing Shox every step, rock or drop of the way on descents.
