Our review
Simple and horribly heavy, but decent landing control for a proper discount cost

The DJ3 is the simplest of Marzocchi’s Dirt Jumper forks and a sound first step on the upgrade ladder.

The thickset lower legs, steel 32mm stanchions and steel steerer make this a monster heavy fork, but it’ll definitely take slams in its stride. Post-mount disc brake hardware also makes set-up really simple.

The fixed hydraulic rebound damping is clunky and clangy at top and bottom, but landing shock is sucked up okay.

You can add a bit of preload to the elastomer/coil spring internals via the fork top too, although not many riders will find the stiff springs soft anyway.

Simplicity works in their favour at the till and on the trails in the long-term as well.
