Our review
Marzocchi’s tough, controlled bolt-through axle fork is a real crowd pleaser

Top of Marzocchi's Dirt Jumper trio, the DJ1 doesn’t just add a bolt-through 20mm axle to the proven chassis and one-shot damping setlist of the DJ2 and 3.

It’s a lighter build with a more consistent hydraulic damping circuit. The stiff coil spring is backed up by a preload air chamber to please minimum movement fans.

Bolt-through axles mean wheel replacement isn’t as fast when changing tubes or chucking it in a car, but they are secure.

The DJ1 is also easily light enough to use as a comp fork, although the £539.99 4X World Cup is 200g lighter and gets a full RC3 damping cartridge.
